I have no pets allowed, and have an exemption that doesn’t allow service animals either

Didn't think that was legal.

Doorbell cameras are great.

I should have prefaced...a doorbell camera is reasonable. I was more or less talking about security cameras inside a house

It’s my primary residence and it’s a short term rental, so it’s legal to not allow service animals in most states. I only got the exemption because guests can bring in any dog they want and say it’s a service animal and circumvent costs or policy, and as a host you’re not allowed to ask for paperwork or proof, all you’re allowed to do is ask what it’s trained to do. Even then, they can say what they want and your hands are tied. I had a guest say “stimulation therapy” and that she might “leave him home if he’s not ready”. AKA, not a highly trained and expensive service dog, just an emotional support dog, and if you have no pets policy you ARE allowed to turn those down.
