You eating the same thing Wal mart is charging less for. You think because it's Whole Foods, that you getting better fish? You want fresh fish, don't buy from a grocery store.

Similar story to the one they built in shreveport. It's been open for a few months now but the building had been built for a while before.

Again, not arguing the veracity of your statement. I'm sure your dad does. But he handles the packaging and shipping, do all the products come from the same place? Are there different quality standards for those shipped to WF versus those shipped to WM?

There may not be, but my point is that having a subcontractor in common does not equal the same quality of products.

Healthier options/brands are starting to show up in regular grocery stores now. Why pay the higher prices at Whole Foods? It isn't like the shopping experience is that different.

This is what you get, Whole Foods, for not carrying that strawberry rhubarb pie year round like I asked you to. This is what happens.

Let us know what you find. I'm curious, too. But I'm very skeptical considering the fact that Whole Foods labels where all their meat comes from and there appears to be a plethora of difference sources.

This is pretty stupid. Does wal mart sell usda prime meat? Or are you suggesting that whole just sells something else and marks it as such?

Does wal mart sell halibut?

im telling you that if you buy chicken breasts from WF or WM its the exact same quality because it comes from exactly the same supplier to the storage warehouse

Yeah I'm skeptical too. Not to say the other poster is lying, I just find that Whole Foods labeling all their meat vs. Wal Mart not doing so, yet the meat being the exact same quality is hard to believe.

i am not arguing the varieties of different meats one carries

if you are buying beef or turkey or chicken - something basic that would be carried by both - its the same stuff

I've never understood why people hype up their meat selections, it's hit or miss depending on what type of cut you are looking for and isn't any higher quality than several places nearby

I don't really understand how people think these large chains aren't all getting a lot of their foods from the same place, whether it's Walmart or Whole Foods. There are only so many suppliers.
