Anyone here involved? There seems to be a few teams around here but they aren't serious enough...they only play tournaments within 2 hrs drive and only for 30 weekends...seems like there should be some more serious leagues in the south.

In saying that my old neighbor was on a team like this so yes they do exist here. Its a whole culture in itself and kind of strange. They traveled all over the US playing softball but he finally decided to be a man and taking care of his family was more important and stopped playing.

I agree with OP. It's ridiculous that a lot of slow pitch teams just want to drink beer and fool around. .

Our closer got banned for life a couple of years ago for inciting a brawl.I miss his entry music from the bullpen in the bottom of the 7th...enter sandman.

Pelican Park still doesn't this? I knew people who would drive at least a hour to play. Under Armor head to toe, sweat bands and all! Haha.
