You and 08 must hang together...

That's a pretty decent walk from Brocato's...

magnificent photo essay. Thank you.

And if there are others here who haven't read George Washington Cable's books, I just found a lot of them are free on Amazon as kindle ebooks.

It probably is. I’m perfectly fine with the Cobra Kit Car

Great post, it’s a unique city for sure.

With that being said, and with all that walking, you must’ve had some pretty good shoes…

Did you get a purple drink from Lafitte's? How many Beams did you smash that day?

I was gonna rob you at fist point, but discovered how morbidly obese you are in actual life and opted to give you a pass.

Friend,
You didn’t walk that far. Why are you spewing lies & making New Orleans seem like a pleasant city?

Warm regards,
Jim

We were there Saturday from Canal Place to the Warehouse District and then on to Prytania and Magazine. Lunch at Tito’s was excellent.
It was a beautiful day and we had a great time with no negative things seen.
It reminded me how much I love the city and all the random buildings and places. I could not contain my excitement, despite living there for many years long ago, and brought back good feelings.
I pray for New Orleans often.
Just wanted to say.

A friend in HS once claimed to have walked home from Fat Harry's to Power Blvd Metry area late one night. When asked how long it took, he said it was not that bad because he took the interstate.

Is this an old photograph, or has this performer been replace with a doppelganger?
"Uncle Louie" was arrested for murder in 2021

Has to be a doppelganger. On street view, the sign next to M.S. Rau didn't say "The Soap Tree" until the June 2023 image. As recently as March 2022 it was called "Rachel's Best Soaps"

He pleaded guilty, was forgiven by the victim's family, and is performing on the French Quarter streets again.
