A Horrible Question To Face: Did I Marry The Wrong Person?
Posted on 11/2/16 at 4:36 pm

This is a rhetorical question. I am unmarried.
Yet I have been in relationships where I now wonder if I missed the girl that I was meant to marry. I have no way of knowing for sure. I suppose it comes down to faith? Chance? I know people that are in committed relationships yet still carry a flame for someone else. Some are even married. Such a situation has to be tortuous. I suppose you bury it deep down or perhaps you shrug and settle for the next best thing.
Sorry for the melodrama. I am feeling reflective today. I suppose that it was brought upon by the chick flick that I watched last night.

If you marry someone you aren't sure about, it's your own damn fault.
It's truly amazing how people willfully ignore major red flags that pop up before marriage.

Jesus fricking Christ. What Disney princess do you wanna be when you grow up?

Even if you're pinning away for some broad, she isn't for you obviously so you never had a shot to marry her to begin with. Be happy whatever girl you're with now will have you before you frick that up too

Marriage is not a magical soul connection to another person full of rainbows, jellybeans, and sunshine.
Marriage is a commitment and working relationship with someone you pledge to put above yourself.
The only way marriage works is if both people compromise and grow together. You have to respect the other person. You have to be there for the good days and the bad.
Also, Bitches better stay making sandwiches. And if you interrupt me watching a Saints game I'll show you equality.

This. Sure there are people that would be better or worse for you to marry, but the most important thing is dedication to make things work. Burn your boats when you get married.

There isn't a one-and-only-one true love out there for you.
You can and probably will and probably have loved many women. Marriage is a commitment to love (devoted love) and honor (treat with respect) one woman whom you happen to love (romantic love) and want to be around AT THAT TIME IN YOUR LIFE.
Hopefully, if she loves you too, you will grow together, with Gods grace, and even in tough times when the romantic love is absent, you will appreciate the life that you have built together for your betterment, her betterment, and that of your family, should you have one.

Any of us could make marriages work with a million different people. Might someone else be a better fit? Yes. But it doesn't mean the person you're married to is the wrong one. You suck it up and try to be content if it's not miserable. It doesn't matter who you marry: sometimes, it'll be boring, stressful, etc.

I think we all spend too much time searching for a quality girl/woman to marry.
Choose one that will have you that worked her way through college at Chik Fil a. You can be assured that she has been vetted to be a quality individual.
The fact that she worked there all through school lets you know that she can commit for the long run.
