Wut? Found another one with a fat wife. You guys have no standards and it is sad.

One of my good buddies got divorced two years ago for the same reason as the Op discussed. His wife ballooned after marriage. He stayed with her until the kids were grown, then left and divorced. He is much happier. He probably earns about $250k, though, so he is still living well.

It really depends, if you're 5'10" 200 lb is not that big for a woman. Yeah thick, but that's it.
5’10” 200 lbs is fat for a man so yes it’s fat for a woman

…this lady probably about to get thin, frick around and enjoy the paycheck for doing so.

His family already thinks he's a dick. He got a divorce. Now maybe he can see his kids on the weekend. That sounds way better than what I suggested.
"Hey honey, I was thinking about it, how about we cut out junk food in the house? You know we have the kids and I don't think it would be the best for them to always have access to it. Plus we can improve our diet and provide a great example for our kids."
Yeah that sounds super controlling. If you suggest that and she refuses to change or goes against what you feel is best for the family than it is no longer you leaving your wife of 10 years for being chubby but rather you felt she didn't value you or how you felt.

Proud to give the 200th down vote. He either loves her or he doesn't.

Are you really comparing a fat partner to a drug addict partner? Drug addiction destroys everything around it: children, relationships, finances, etc. It's a nuclear bomb. Being fat doesn't
Her being fat is literally destroying their relationship and family, and this happens all the time, you're 100% incorrect here.

Ok so if he has an issue with her weight, why is he allowing junk food in his house?

The normalization of fat being healthy and a healthy weight being “skin and bones” is gonna destroy this country

I love how people spin it as "lack or communication" or "there must be some underlying problem." Uh, her morbid obesity is the problem.

Hopefully ironically said by someone from Alabama. The elephant moniker was probably inspired by the shots of fans in the stadium

3 kids and 20+ years. Yeah I'm actually doing pretty well. Because when my wife or I have an issue with something the other is doing we talk and resolve it. I don't stick my thumb up my arse, hope she changes all by herself, then bail when that amazing strategy fails to work.

Yeah, a couple of these clowns are majorly invested in this thread like dogs hiking their leg on every post.
