My mother and dad always managed to set me up with some kind of promotional gear I could take to school that advertised beer and liquor. Nobody ever said much back then but they probably don't allow that kind of thing nowadays.

That's what the boy needs.

The mom should be arrested for child endangerment. There is no way in hell my boy would use that crap. What does she expect her kid to be treated like?

This all started with the women's lib movement. Girls are becoming mindless sluts who think like boys use to think while boys are becoming girly sissys. Poor little bastard is just another victim of the pussification of America.

I could be wrong but I wonder if that post wasn't aimed at a certain poster. B/c I laughed at it and thought about posting the same thing.

School is a place for learning. They are propped up with taxpayer dollars. It's not a place for expressing your individuality.

Any item, from a cellphone to a ghey backpack, is a distraction from the purpose of the student's purpose there.

It should be left at home.

If you want attention, bring a gun like the cool kids.

I agree that the kid should be protected by the school. That being said I'm assuming the school has taken steps to discipline kids picking on the mlp booksack. It is impossible for the school to stop every comment any student makes. Just for example in my kids class their is a kid that does gross stuff eats his band aids, licks scabs, etc to get attention. Well the kids call him weird and gross and he goes home and tells mom kids are bullying him at school. The school has called in kids to quit picking on the kid. But as long as the kid does stuff like that he's going to be known as the gross kid.

The kid should never have had the bag in the first place. What the hell is wrong with these people.

I wonder if there is a father anywhere in this picture.

TejasTigre1185, as was pointed out earlier, it is highly unlikely Mr. Bruce has "parents" together at his home to guide him. Considering it's Asheville and the nature of the book bag, the probability is more likely that if Sire Grayson has two parents at home the parents have a total of exactly zero penises between them.

The school should absolutely go after the bullies and correct their behavior.

But the school also acted appropriately in telling the kid to leave the bag at home. The courts have been consistent on this issue for decades. Student rights to free speech are always trumped by the school's need for a safe and focused learning environment. The school can feel free to censor any provocative speech if it becomes a distraction to learning.

The kid really has no argument beyond asking the school to address the bullies directly.

Totally stupid move by mom here, by the way. fricking idiot.

The school should just host a my little pony day. The kid will be a pimp and none of the girls will talk to the bullies. Problem solved
