My money is on this smugly inanimate power pole disrespekting some upstanding individual. Probably festering for weeks. This (pole) shall not stand!

Nah. Not enough car jackings or gun violence yet.

A couple of years ago now the ambulance taking me to Oschner in Monroe was traveling behind an old caddy and suddenly stopped and veered left.

The old lady driving the Cadillac lost control at 35mph and hit a pole on the opposite side of the road right in front of some warehouses. The ambulance crew took one look around the bad neighborhood and said they got me they aren’t checking on her at all.

Turns out the 1 pole she hit has a transformer. She knocked out power to 8,000 from about 8pm to after 8am in a really rough old rough part of town.

I think keakar hit the nail with a ten pound mallet.

Somebody got a disconnect notice and, looked up and said, If I don't have power, nobody has power. Borrowed or stole a chain saw and yesterday went looking for a victim/pole.

This morning awake to his (and I do think it was a guy) electric alarm clock, and went and did the dead. And went home, went back to sleep with a smile on his face. Maybe with his electricity still on.

Anyword on what happened to 7000 SLEMCO customers in Broussard and Youngsville on Saturday evening? Power was out for about 2 hours.

What's not shocking is that no one heard all that racket in the middle of the night and called the rollers.

Prolly someone off the grid and noticed his firewood stock getting low. And his bonus was not having to trim off the branches.

Another reason to get rid of electric chainsaws, they too quiet

Probably stole the chainsaw over the weekend. Had never done an honest days work in his life, and wanted to see how it worked. Power pole was an easily accessible piece of wood.
