My Great Grandmother was born in 1860 and passed away in 1962, I was 13 years old when she died. It was really interesting to talk to her about all the things she had seen in her life...well mostly read about. She spent her entire life in Charlton County, Folkston Ga. Southeast end of the Okefenokee Swamp.

What gets me is that most of them have probably outlived anyone very close to them.

Their children are probably in their 80s or 90s and most of them are likely deceased by now, just from old age.

And this one looks GREAT for 115. If I saw her on the street, I'd assume she was in her 80's.

According to her daughter, with whom she lives, Talley's secret to long life is staying active. Until recently she played the slot machines at casinos and bowled until she was 104. And she was mowing her own lawn at 105.

When she was born, the United Stats was only 113 years old, she's already beat that.

She lived in SW Arkansas, you know she had to have met former slaves.
