Saw this pop up on my news feed.. They ask what 5+5+5-5+5+5-5+5x0 = ..
Besides the fact that 20,000 people answered 0, some of the comments made me

That is not what they asked, cp3. The answer to that would be 35.

They asked what 5+5+5-5+5+5-5+5x0= ?

That answer is 15.

the first like 10 times i read the equation i totally did not see the minus signs

You likely saw it that way because the OP has only addition signs, not subtraction(or minus) signs. Your mind interpreted it was the same thing and began working.

No, I think it is because the OP used hyphens instead of subtraction(or minus) signs.
