The levels will likely only get worse until the 4th.

These are what marinas on Travis look like these days.

You can have some cool island parties though.

So where do they take the official measurement, the middle of the lake? Is it just the dock/inlet areas that are really low?

Go to Pace Bend State Park. They have a beach on Lake Travis. It's one of the few decent public places you can go swim and see some of the lake. There are cliffs that you can jump off too.

When did you last go there and jump off cliffs? I tried doing that over the summer and would've smashed myself on rocks if I jumped. Water was way low

626' is low? Seems pretty damn deep to me

I'd say too. But then you see it's 54' lower than usual in the middle...that translates to a lot of lost surface area of lake

Going next weekend, like I said. Looks like we rented a boat from Paradise Cove Marina. Any suggestions on where we should go once in the boat? Hoping that the low water hasn't affected the crowds out on the water.

Waters low, only a few marinas you can launch at, be careful of running into underwater rocks and what not. Don't dive in till you know depth.........

With all that being said, Devils Cove will be slap full of slutty bikini girls on 4th of July. Google devils cove to get a preview.

have you seen any of the prop stop threads?
It's probably the same crew just a different waterway!

Damn he changed the pic.

But YES there will be sluts galore water or no water.

I'd buy the insurance if the marina sells it though - it's a rock bottom not a mud one .

Also, don't count on an easy drive back into the city. It's hilly and twisty and about half an hour from the city to the closest shore, much longer than that to the better parts. The cops will be laying in wait - especially since the hills and lakes/river limit the potential routes down to easy choke points.

We call 'em lake trash. There are a lot of nice places on the lakefront but just back from that is solid mobile home country. Lots of meth and pill junkies.
