I corrected the question in original post... the question is exactly how it is written on the assignment. Thanks for helping but now I think its just a bogus question.

i thought the factors of 8 were:
2 x 4
2 x (2x2)

to the largest factor of 8, once factored out is 2.

2-2=0, I put down 0 at the thousands position.

Factors are any number that are divisible by the given number.

All whole numbers see divisible by 1 and themselves. If that's all they are divisible by, they are prime.
