I'm not a big scramble guy but when it's for charity and I get asked...ill play. I've played in 2 in the last 7 months. Both times the same team has won. 4 guys that work for Primerica. Played a regular round last weekend and a guy in my group said he played in the Eric Reid scramble at pelican. I asked him how was it... He said "food was real good. Everything was good actually, except the winners had to cheat. They shot 23 under. Beat the next best team by 5 shots. It was some guys from Primerica." Lol is cheating at scrambles part of the business model over there? Oh well...I know I know csb.

**Update**
Had a friend play in a charity scramble today. He knew I started this thread a week or so ago and messaged me today to let me know that the Primerica Team was in the tourney he was playing in...and he would let me know how they do. 5 hours later.... Primerica carded a 45!!!!!LOL Beat the next team by like 5 shots. Wtf is with these dudes?

I hate people that do that shite. They're usually just complete scumbags.

I've said it on here before.

There's a special place in hell for people that cheat on charity scrambles.

Me, Front9, geauxtigers, and one other baw shot -15 last Friday with 5 pars. Winning team shot -20 I think and had 2 guys on web.com tour in their group. It's not impossible but anything over 20 gets suspicious.

It's happens at 9.9/10 scrambles, atchafalaya it happens on the regular, they have a CPA over there who rides and checks the posted scores board. He came in once and had us by 1, I thought my buddy was gonna beat his arse on the back deck, bad thing is everyone knows he cheats and does nothing about it.

Thats why most scrambles these days don't have prizes for 1st place. They raffle off prizes via mulligan tickets you buy. Way too much cheating going on where they have great prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

I played the Eric Reid scramble. There was some bad golf out there... I left after we turned our 58 in and saw mutiple 53s on the board, so I didn't see the 23 under.

58 was good enough for t-10th.

I played golf at LSU. Freshman year 1979 we I played in a scramble with 3 other team members. One first team All American and 2 other members of the first 5 golfers on the team at the LSU course right off campus. We shot 19 under par with one par. Unless you have a bunch of par 5s going lower than that is tough. Every golfer in that foursome was a 1 handicap or better. 23 under par is BS unless it was a short course with a bunch of par 5s

I played in one in Toledo bend with some customers. One of them was keeping score. Before we finished our second hole he had the whole scorecard filled out that we shot 57. I was keeping score in the other cart and we shot a legit 58 but I didn't have the "official" scorecard. We won by one stroke and got a crappy little trophy.

The best way to police it is to have a 3 man scramble instead of 4 and play 6somes and keep the other teams score. But that is miserably slow
