They performed the sting on a Monday while school is out?

Is the local police on Fred's payroll? How did they come away unscathed?

No doubt this is fallout from that massive brawl a few weeks ago.

There isn't all that much underage drinking at Fred's. Well, not compared to Reggie's.

Probably >75% of the people drinking at Reggie's any given night are underage. Fred's is like <25%.

Doesn't sound like much of a 'sting'. More like, "What the hell, let's go collect the harvest."

We have literally dozens of unsolved murders from THIS YEAR ALONE and THIS is what the police spend time one!? Busting underage kids from drinking, something that was legal not 25 years ago and was only made illegal due to federal government extortion and overreach. This kind of lazy policing gets me angry.

Most of the kids in Reggies are below 18 btw. These are 14,15, and 16 year olds going into this bar. That shite just isn't safe for a variety of reasons and it's pretty wild how openly they get away with it.

Also police departments have different segments. These weren't homicide detectives arresting these kids, they were ATC officers. No murders are going to go unsolved because of this.

And the reason bars like Reggies gets away with this stuff is because they line the pockets of the cops while off duty to basically body guard the area and turn a blind eye to its activities. If you're mad at them for this sting operation, you should probably be mad at them working body guard for the same bar as well.

Because of that arrangement, I would suspect that Reggies was either fully aware of the sting, or the sting was created to up the pay of some of the bar owners in the area for off the clock officers

So it's going on these kids records that they were arrested? Like real arrested? I wouldn't be able to have my job if I were in college now.

I'm talking about having an arrest record in general. Cuffs and squad cars. I have an MIP on my record, I just wasn't arrested for it

Just to set the record straight to some of these very ignorant responses which are merely conjecture. For one BRPD officers can not work off duty details at places where alcohol is the primary item sold and consumed. So the idiot saying that Reggies pays off duty cops to look the other way is absurd. The owners may throw money at city council for influence but thats about it and that is a guess not anything set in fact. Secondly to the people who say this a waste of time and resources I can agree to some extent. Although these operations are covered by grants issued by the state not overtime money paid by the city. So if police apply for the grant this is how they must use the money unlike recent grant money being shelled out.
