3 Florida Walmart employees arrested after beating shoplifter to death.

Police said just after 3 a.m. Feb. 7, the suspect, Kenneth Wisham, 64, stole nearly $400 worth of DVDs and ran when he was confronted by employees.
The employees chased him down and at some point, Wisham fell to the ground and was held there by the employees.
Wisham stopped breathing and the employees called 911. Wisham was transported to the hospital in critical condition, but later died.

hey if you're holding down a shoplifter, you dont know what weapons hes got on him so you just kick the shite out of him till he stops moving

They obviously went too far, but this is why criminals become even more emboldened. They know your avg citizen is becoming more apprehensive about defending themselves and their property out of fear of violating the law.

My dad and I saw a great shoplifting incident in Nashville the other day.
At a liquor store in a very nice part of town, a grungy looking old black lady that's like 70 years old is walking around, grabs a handle of Crown and a handle of Belvedere, walks slowly towards front of the store and BOLTS out the door.
This grandma was fast as shite.
Employee chased her screaming but she jumped in a get away car and they peeled out.
