Take a cab to 3rd street promenade. Walk across the street to the Santa Monica Pier. Walk down the boardwalk to Venice Beach. Stop at random places for drinks. Enjoy the people watching.

I lived there for seven years and if you don't know anyone in LA and are near the airport this is probably the best thing to do tomorrow.

If you like the foodtruck scene, hit up Abbot Kinney Blvd. in Venice; it's the 1st Friday of the month and plenty of trucks will be out there. It's a site to go people watch and see all the crazies stand in line for food served from a truck, especially the Kogi BBQ Truck.

If you're there for the night today and get in fairly early, catch a cab over to Chavez ravine, grab a dodger dog and watch playoff baseball.
