It's sick. I worked with a Navy sailor that falsely accused someone of rape. She was not disciplined at all. They just moved her to another base.

That's what I don't understand. The article I posted doesn't say, but IIRC, this dude wasn't even in the same state when she says he raped her. He was at an amusement park on vacation or something like that, and even had corroborated statements from workers at the park saying he was there, and he still was convicted.
And even if that's not the same case, it's two different ones, which means that it's just another example of this kind of shite happening. It's terrifying.
