I like the older pilot 100x more than the new minivan pilot.

New pilot drive better though.

You talking about the highlander? How was handling, break response / sensitivity? Wife makes a big deal about brakes.

Planning on having more kids? If so consider a minivan or you may find yourself trading the SUV in for one on a few years anyway.

Nah, we have 2 kids and we can easily fit them and a friend or 2 in our highlander. We've even gone on vacation with 5 people and a ton of luggage more than once and rode quite comfortably.

You should have her test drive a sportier sedan as well as the vans she wants. Accords are awful boring, but sedans don't have to be.

meh you can get into one at $62,500 (new) TT&L just gotta go at the end of the month and find some desperate manager. Probably can get into one at like 55k used with under 15k miles just hard to find those.

No doubt, we went on a 1500 mile (one way) road trip with, 4 adults and 3 kids, in an older Honda Pilot

My point is to just try the vans out. Power sliding doors are the greatest with small kids and parking lots, and they can haul more cargo than these midsized SUVs. We used to be totally anti-van but it's been the most practical vehicle we've owned and we've had a sports car, full size truck and a sedan.

Avalon, not Camry. But it's still a car, which makes it a much better ride than the truck like 4 runner.

Wife has a 16 and likes it a lot, as do I. It's basically a minivan, without the look of a minivan and a little better pickup.
We looked at the pilot and pathfinder as well, and I really don't think there's a big difference in all 3.

the wife has a 2015 highlander xle. she likes it so far. she did order it with the bucket seats in the middle seat with a collapsible cup holder between the seats. I believe it averages in the high 20's for MPG.

I am talking about the Highlander. I found it pretty smooth. The vehicle didn't have any kind of "settings" for handling like her current 2014 Santa Fe Sport. It seemed more responsive than the Sport on the setting she drives on which she thought would take getting used to. The brakes weren't over sensitive. It seemed slower than her current vehicle but that just might be because it was bigger.

The XLE was the same ride, same engine and same important luxury features. Platinum seems like you're basically spending 3k on AC in the seats.

If you pay 80k for a Denali, then the dealership bent you over a barrel and then some.

I used to buy nothing but Hondas for a while but later switched to Toyota. I find that the Toyota brand as a whole is a lot quieter riding vehicle. I just bought a new Tacoma and looked casually at the Highlander. Really nice vehicle.

Not much help here but we have the 2013. Great ride and plenty of room for a 7 month old and all of her stuff. Plus great mileage dealing with shite dallas traffic everyday.
