My bad
I meant to quote dabigfella telling me that this
is a daily driver

Why would you buy a Ferrari F12 and make it your daily driver to put tons of miles on it with constant maintenance?
LMFAO once again you proved you have no idea what you're talking about. Ferrari now offers a 7 year maintenance program
quote:
.The program covers the scheduled maintenance labor along with the relative original spare parts, engine oil and brake fluid. ??The advantage to the owner is the assurance that the vehicle will be subject to regular annual inspections by Ferrari trained personnel using Factory-approved dedicated diagnostic equipment.
you pay for nothing, not like the old days with expensive timing belts, the modern cars have drive chains which require significantly less maintenance that typically doesn't require the labor intensive and expensive engine out removal service of ferraris say 20 years ago
just stop man

I've owned a Mercedes and a BMW. I'd own another Mercedes but not a BMW
Posted on 2/28/17 at 9:10 am to Pecker

BMW - $77,000
Mercedes AMG - $85,000
At those prices I'm not sure how you'd pick one of these over a base 911 Carrera, which starts at $89,400.

Are you retarded? Where did I say you'd pay for the maintenance?
It still has to be maintained. These cars need oil changes often. New tires often. They're track cars that need to be constantly maintained to perform. There's a reason people who can afford 488's have other cars they use as daily drivers. You'd be retarded to put a bunch of miles on a 488.
If you think this is a daily driver then we can just agree to disagree. I think you're just trying too hard

Those are price as tested with $10k+ in options... Porsche is great but they nickel and dime you on options.

I'm just saying when I see these cars it says to me the driver loves cars but just can't afford a real sportscar, and that is usually the truth. T
Good god, this has to be one of the most stuck up things you've said.
So no one should enjoy anything remotely luxurious unless they can afford the absolute best? That's absurd, there's a reason to compare things by cost range.
You may be well off, but you aren't worth a billion so frankly who cares about your opinion as your definition of a supercar really isn't compared to some of them.
Just a minute while I go take down my daughters paintings because they aren't picassos and I can't truly enjoy them evidently.

Of the two ,the BMW is much better looking
Posted on 2/28/17 at 9:14 am to Pecker
ah you mean like $400 oil changes and $2500 sets of tires? Surely guys spending $300k on a car can't afford that to have a little fun which is the reason they bought the car in the first place. I guess I wouldn't know anything about the matter so i'll defer to someone who owns exotics.

Again. I think you're retarded. I'm not talking about the cost. I'm talking about the inconvenience.
What do you drive as your daily driver? If it's not a Pagani Zonda or Veyron or One-77, you're probably a wannabe.

That's one way to put it, another would be that you can customize your 911 any way you want it. But even the base one is pretty damn loaded. Sure, air conditioned seats, sports exhaust, lane change assist, LED headlights, better wheels, PDK, and a million other things are optional... but I'd take a bare bones 911 over an M4 or C63. Better resale. WAY better reliabilty. Less finicky.
Of course, when I kill time by building one online I can't get out for less than a $150k Carrera 4 GTS... and I gotta have that $4k 4-wheel-steering option...

I know a guy with 4 kids that dailies a 997. His kids just pile in.

Neither. Give me the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio

I have a BMW and love driving it. That said, given the choice between those two I'd take the MB in a heartbeat. That particular MB just looks, feels, and sounds like a "meaner" car. Plus, my one knock on BMW is that for a "luxury" car, the interior doesn't feel all that luxurious. I guess BMW's position is that you pay for the performance aspect of their vehicle vs. the interior luxuries. In most MB's, even the C-Class, it feels like you are in a "nicer" car.
Unless you are driving on a track or the autobahn, I don't know if you're ever going to get the FULL performance out of either. Just go with the one that makes you happier

Consider an M6. A bit more room than the M4. And don't be afraid of the convertible. BMW goes through great lengths to strengthen the chassis and body panels to keep it stiff.
Hell, just the standard 6 has more power than you'll ever use.

I love these threads. It's a simple question with an A or B answer and you dickholes give every other answer under the sun and shite on the question.
No Porsches, no Audis, no ferraris. A or B. I don't know if you dolts can't comprehend the question or are just to pretentious to actually answer rather than give a reason why your choice, outside of A or B would be better. Dang!
To answer the OP, I'd go with the MB. Like the styling a little more on the bimmer, but I really like the AMG cars.
