this is the #2015flood. Some of the water has broken through our sandbags and infiltrated our pool. I'm going to shock the pool tonight so when the water recedes we will still be able to salvage some of the summer.

It supposedly did Monday or Tuesday. It's gradually dropping now. It's only supposed to drop a foot in the next week.

It's been at 37-37.1 for about 3 days now. The forecast is a slow drop to 36 by the weekend, but it better get to dropping soon!

Here is some good news from the Farmers' Market (though parking may be a shite show).

WE WILL REOPEN ON SATURDAY, JUNE 13TH. TELL YOUR FRIENDS.

Our part of downtown is still experiencing some road closures, and some compromised parking due to flooding, but we will be up and running our regular schedule for the rest of the summer. Saturdays, 7 to 12; Tuesdays, 3 to 6, at 101 Crockett St. in Festival Plaza. Remember, that schedule includes a closure for June 20 for the Good Times Festival, so please come stock up this weekend!

has fallen 4-6" at Hwy 2. Looks like the 12-Mile Bayou backwater has actually risen overnight.

I heard on the radio that Nachitoches Parish is next. Their flood stage is 33 feet, it's currently at 40 feet, and supposed to crest there on Friday at 42 and change feet.

HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!!!

NOAA hasn't issued any official updates, but they're saying the river is going to rise again in the next 7-10 days. No predictions as to how high.

Projections north of Shreveport are for a 7-8 foot rise over the next week- 29.5 ft in Shreveport now, so add 7 feet to that and we're right back where we were a couple weeks ago!

Truth, I could bale hay off mine. Assuming I wouldn't stick the tractor.

I'm telling y'all figure out a way to mount some blades under a boat and we would make a fortune this summer.
