I tried trading in my 2012 sonata, fully loaded, nice car imo and they didnt want to give me shite for it. Said "they don't hold their value well". And its only got 20k Miles on it, not a scratch on it.

Problem is, they don't have any of the 'mid-tier' vehicles worth a shite. They've got the Genesis... and the Elantra

Ummm, there's two sedan models offered in the US between the Genesis and the Elantra, which is admittedly an econo-shitbox.

Sonata

And the higher Azera:

The Azera can be had for under $30k, it'd make a wonderful graduation present for a daughter.

The Sonata is good basic, cheap transportation.

What about the small towns that rely on traffic ticket money?

How are they going to survive when all of these computer driven cars are rampantly obeying the law?

Has anybody thought about them?

Cops will go back to busting out your tail lights giving you tickets for it. Cops will find a way.

This is an awesome commercial but I have to laugh when I hear the music that represents the future since it became popular in 1968 (a good choice, though).

ETA: Also, sadly, this means the death of the manual transmission (not that Hyundai makes any good ones anyway like its competitors Honda and Mazda).

One of the clients at the ad agency I work for is involved in testing autonomous vehicle technology (AVT). A couple months back they tested the Audi A7. I write all the AVT propaganda for this business, but it's fascinating stuff to learn about. I believe Nissan and GM have promised driverless vehicles by 2017. We'll see.

I can't wait till we have fully driverless cars. Just think of how much time you waste driving. If you could do other shite while driving you could be much more productive.

They have this top of the line vehicle, The Equus, that competes with the Lexus LS 430.

A Korean-made self-driving car... what could possibly go wrong?
