The new Silverado is beautiful, so that.

Or the Sierra.

Tough one..

If I were buying today and I wanted/needed the big V-8, GM, hands down.

If needed a 1/2 ton, but was only going to use that capacity occasionally, Ford.

Both are excellent products and the class of the field. Ram is making strides, Tundra is falling back, but still good.

Not new, 2nd year of the body style. And not beautiful either. The GMC is much better looking.

Ford

ETA: Pretty much what VetteGuy said. If GM, 6.2 or bust...otherwise, get the Ford.

this is not even close to a good comparison.

the 2015 F150 is the answer.

If you want a reliable truck that will last for years with just basic maintenance, get a Tundra.

If you are OK with repairs, buy either of your options.

The GMC is better than the Chevy but the 2015 Ford is better than both, IMO. Unless, as previously mentioned, you're going with the 6.2 liter in the GMC.

I keep seeing the Ram ads. Their big v8 makes a shade more HP and torque than GM's 6.2.

Don't need a new truck, my 2000 Silverado with 260,000 miles is still running fine.

Has original brake pads. (I ignore stop signs)
