Looks like a minivan minus the sliding door.

Love the exterior, but the dash is hilarious to me. It's 100% F150 with the gauge cluster from the Explorer/Taurus/Fusion.

Looks the same as the 14. And you have lousy taste.

So they did what the majority of US car brands do.

Agreed, but both the expedition and tahoe are pretty dull these days. Nice vehicles, but a new one doesn't jump out as much different from anything in the last decade.

While the technological improvements will certainly be welcome, will the traditional buyers of the Expedition be willing to accept turbocharged V6 power?

Ecoboost was BADLY needed over the 5.4l. This thing is heavy and needs the torque plateau that the ecoboost or a diesel creates.

We loved my wife's 2007 Eddie Bauer (only problem was the spark plugs on the 5.4l and we got those swapped out, it had 175k miles on it and still in great shape other than the emblems faded out), but it was time for a new vehicle. Mileage and power was sub-par at best with the 5.4. Also, the interior and audio hadn't been updated to my liking at that point (this was late last year).

They should have done this refresh several years ago. Literally hadn't been updated since W was in office. Probably would have bought a new one but they're over a year too late. Got my wife an ecoboost F150 King ranch and put a tonneau cover on it instead.
