I'm looking to trade my 2015 Honda Fit EX with 40k miles for a 2009 VW Tiguan SE with 81k miles.

I need more space for my 3 dogs, plus I'm moving across country in a couple months.

I'm also looking to save on financing (broke recent college graduate).

Well to start you can get rid of the three dogs.

True, but they're family.

big mistake. Little things break on these cars all the time and it will nickel and dime you to death

How about a 2013 VW cc executive with 80k on the clock? Eh eh?

Tiguan is a solid car though.

It's not dumb once you realize my loan for my Fit is $13k at 1.95%, payments are roughly $333.00 per month.

Tiguan is not a good value. It's an embarrassingly slow seller in a segment where any piece of shite flies off the lots.

Find another crossover if you want something like that. You can get a lot more room and likely fewer miles from domestic and Japanese brands. Even the VW Jetta wagon would be a better choice.

Dann my boss had a diesel jetta, thing was a beast. Think it was a 2013 with over 100k and no issues at all. We drove the shite out of that car.

Don't get a Tiguan, especially one with 81k.

1.95%?

So your credit score is like 848?

Still a bad plan...

We have one and it's been 0 trouble. Except for the whole diesel-gate thing. I wouldn't get one to save money though. Maintenance and repairs can be a lot more expensive

It's dumb because you are trading a good car for a POS. You'll probably pay more in the long run.

Worst trade ever.
