Guess again! The city announced with the hair pick statue they'd set aside $7.2 million to fund black artwork around the city, I'm guessing this is part of that project.

Does that VR slave trail highlight the many black/creole families that owned slaves in the FQ? Somehow I bet it does not.

At some point in time, people have got to decide to move on. How can there be any progress when all the leadership of the black community wants to do is live on the past.

You can also get digitally mugged or carjacked for a genuine feel of our culture in case you aren't actually mugged or carjacked while visiting the city.

No one's moving or looking to the future, they are too entrenched in living in the past. Folks are doing everything possible to relive the worst segment of US history. Slavery was abolished eons ago and here we are in 2022 bringing it's sad and pitiful essence back to life in order to celebrate it's existence.

Does it depict the slaves that were bought and owned by free persons of color? Because that was pretty prevalent in New Orleans.

Highly doubt the slaves brought over had dreads, but ok.

ok. i think i understand it all now.

got to get rid of all names and statues associated with the civil war because it promotes people who supported slavery.

now we have an art exhibit that will let you
see virtual slaves being sold.

makes sense.

Why a VR slave market when you can show footage of real life slave markets from the last 10 years?

This could be kind of cool if it was done right and not just purple people standing around. There’s a lot of interesting history spots in New Orleans that most people would never know existed

It must be miserable to live hundreds of years in the past suffering from imaginary pain that you never experienced and caused by people you never knew

All by your own free will

What a sad existence
