Seriously?

It's such a selfish and self-centered thing to say. And it's an arrogant saying at its base. It's a way for women to justify to themselves being complete assholes.

Obviously you want to marry someone who is willing to put up with your shite and be there in the bad times, but that's what a good person (in a good relationship) is supposed to do. But to brandish that quote around like a motto is something that selfish, stupid women do as a way to make themselves feel better about being horrible people.
