Let's laugh at old maids TOTD
as a lifelong bachelor who promotes men staying single longer, these articles always crack me up. while i promote men being rational and logical about their love life (due to its drastic effects on their value and financial livelihood), these articles promote the most irrational, emotional self assurance (typically in women, but you find it also for feminized emo men).

My wife is friends with quite a few single women in their late 30s/early 40s. They believe and I agree that the pool of decent men is rather small. They are all successful professionals, and want a man that has a good job, a future, some ambition. They want to marry their equal or better and the reality is those men got snapped up 10 years ago.

I blame Disney for selling girls a fairy tale, when the truth is there is no happily ever after in the real world. That and most people don't know the difference between infatuation that fades in 6-18 months and love.
