The problem I see in the future is the "specialist trap". Once the primary care doctor (someone like me) makes the decision to refer the patient, the specialist who is not seeing a randomized population, will be more biased to intervene vs. not intervene simply because they've been referred a patient that another provider deemed was necessary for referral.
It's like the old adage, to a surgeon, everything is surgical. To a hospitalist, nothing is surgical.
To a pediatric endocrinologist specializing in gender, everything is true gender dysphoria.
(I'm not saying that that's how it actually works in the medical field, just that it COULD be a problem in the future)

Has Scruffy encountered adolescents that want be trans in his profession? shite like this is sickening to see. Does humanity have any morality left? I was born in the early 80s so I'm not really old but times have change so much over the last decade. These progs/libs who advocate for shite like this are fricking pathetic. I don't give two shits if people want to be queer, trans or whatever floats their boat but don't fricking indoctrinate kids to believe this shite is normal

Probably, but as with all psychological disorders, the only information available to the doctor is essentially limited to what is told to him by the patient.

Oh absolutely. Whoever prescribed the meds is a damn clown. But the article doesn't say whether that was the same one who diagnosed or not. It says they were given advice from many professionals. The diagnosis shouldn't be the outrage, the prescription of medicine to transition a 12 year old should be.

No minor should be allowed to do this. No one over the age of 18 should be given hormones or surgery without a year of counseling and dressing in drag.

The rationale for not giving kids the death penalty (or in some states, life in prison) is because they're brain isn't fully developed... therefore they can't fully comprehend the ramifications of their actions
Particularly California... and i mentioned them from a documentary on kids facing life in prison, and their entire justification was based on lack of mental development
Yet, these same people willfully ignore the same exact data when it is in the name "social progressivism", "social activism" and "social justice"... it's astounding how morally and mentally bankrupt some people are
And these same people don't give two fricks about the people involved... they only care about themselves and winning political and social points, at the expense of other people's lives
