What, children don't have the right to self-defense?

The student allegedly pulled the .22-caliber pistol out of his backpack during recess Monday morning and pointed it at one of his classmates.

"He pulled out a gun and he put it to my head — me and my friend — (and) said he was going to kill us," Isabelle Rios told KSL. "I told him I was going to tell, but he said, ‘If you tell, I'm going to kill you.'"

How frickin stupid can you be. I mean I guess they're trying to make some type of point about "protection" or whatever, but c'mon. Less than a week after what happened and they send their kid into a school with a gun? Those parents should be jailed.

Yeah, sounds like he really needed it for "protection"

This ladies and gentleman is the problem. We don't enforce the current gun laws in this country hard enough....new laws are not the answer.

Not really. He really did bring the gun to protect himself. But like someone said in the comment section of the article, it's funny how much power a loaded gun can bring someone and how quickly he went from victim to an aggressor.

That's not the gun's fault.
