The report showed a relatively wide gulf, by race, in the percentages of graduates hitting three or more of the college-ready benchmarks. Forty-nine percent of white test-takers met the three-or-more benchmark, compared with 11 percent of African-Americans and 23 percent of Hispanic test-takers. But the gaps between the groups haven't shifted that much, for better or worse, in the past four years.

Blind links should be bannable. Either put forth some effort to make a decent OP or just quit starting threads.

African Americans is a silly term.

Like the "French African Americans" from the Olympics?

It's obviously a culturally biased test that's racist in nature to limit black folks exposure to higher ed.

Test is clearly culturally biased.

Does it even assess readiness for a career in race baiting?

Those tests are designed discriminately and are harder for African Americans to take. They learn differently and we need to understand that a higher percentage come from broken families and thus should be given more structure to succeed in school.

If they are African American then English is probably their second language so I can cut them some slack. Maybe the test should be given in Swahili instead.

How has the gap differed over the last 30 years? This is more important than looking at a micro 4 year period.

How did the Asians fair? 90%

No kidding. What do you expect with the rampant systematic racism in this country?

This study hopefully answers any questions/concerns you may have had regarding the habit of tipping at restaurants

That's really bad, the only hard part about the ACT was how much time you get. I had to guess the last 10 or so questions. Still did above average so that's something

Time to lower the standards so they can pass so it will be fair.
