I did take the ACT before I went to Tech.
To be honest, this really does not surprise me. Alot of blacks just dont want to prepare themselves.

While the numbers for black students are frightening, I don't think white kids have anything to brag about either. Less than 50% for whites? With all that privilege? That's surprisingly sad.

In graduate school. My classmates were of African descent (could have Lesser Antilles, but most likely African)
They were very smart guys. What you have to realize is that certain Africans actually have fairly good educational programs. They are of a different culture than Blacks in the state.

They already do this. Asians get points off for being Asian. Blacks get bonus points for being black in admissions.
I'll most certainly make sure my half Hispanic sons check that box off come college even though one looks 100% white.

That's fricking amazing. Blacks are performing more poorly, IN ENGLISH, than the people who use English as a 2nd language.
Most people really can't grasp how poor blacks perform. They don't perform like dumb white kids. If one put the 51% of whites who don't meet the standard in majority black schools, the vast majority of the students in the class top 10% would be white.
