God we need a bypass in BR. Instead, our dumb arse government built a new bridge over the Mississippi in New Roads/St Francisville that is lightly used. It would have easily had 15x more volume if it were built south of BR and tied back into I-10 in Ascension

Most people would be fine with a gas tax if it actually went to roads
But as the last failed gas tax increase was written the POS politicians would have been able to do whatever they wanted with it.

all things considered the traffic moves quite well

If/when this ever happens, I will rejoice. It'll mean I never have to drive through the armpit that is Baton Rouge again with the exception of the occasional visit to LSU.
