Im not gonna bother with the Top Four Saints moments ever b/c we would all come up with some combo of:

- The Gleason Block

- Ambush

- Tracy Porter Pick Six

- Hartley Kicking into the Fleur de Lis, NFC Championship

Im interested in what yall think are the Top 5 thru 10 Saints moments ever.. Mine would probably be :

- Tom Dempsey Sets the Record

- Hakim Dropped the Ball !

- ?

- ?

My one possibly contriversial pick is this: I think this is an all time Top Ten moment in Saints history:

.

.. everything about it.. the fact hat it happened on prime time, on Thanksgiving, on national teevee w/the whole country watching.. and that a guy most had never heard of, Shy Tuttle, completely dismissed and punked our biggest rival’s star QB.. and that it was done while the Saints were wearing the best-looking uniforms to ever grace a football field … Am i nuts to put this in the Top Ten ? What would y’all’s other picks be ? Maybe Gilliam ?

.

.

Destroying the Patriots on MNF in 2009. It was an emphatic statement.

Brees breaking the single season passing yardage record on MNF against ATL.

Pierre taking that screen to the house against IND in the SB for the Saints 1st Super Bowl TD ever giving us the lead.

ETA: Kamara 6 TD Thanksgiving.

would also be top 10 for me.

Tracy Porter's pick against Favre was pretty crazy too. Dude had one hell of a post season.

Steve Bartkowski to Alfred Jackson which was known as Big Ben right to beat the Saints. Bum trading Archie to the Oilers for Leon Gray and replacing Manning with a wooden kneed Ken Stabler. Acquiring Richard Todd from the Jets. Greatest front office move of all time. 2 years with the team, he threw 14TDs and 23 INT.

The final 3 minutes of the Saints-Skins game in 2017. That was just pure magic.

Hakim dropped the ball

River city relay

09 Pats- whole game

Jimmy G -80 yard TD vs San Fran to go up in the Divisional before heartbreak. Pure Brees GOAT moment.

Aaron Brooks vs the Rams in his debut when we somehow won. Thought we had qb of the future.

My all-time Saints moment was the goal line stand at the Steelers in 1987.

21st season, clinched their 1st winning season.

In ‘91 or ‘92 I was at Fulton County Stadium. Bobby Hebert threw about a 20 yard pass to Eric Martin at the 50. Eric Martin DRAGGED Deion Sanders about 50 yards to the end zone.

Dalton Hilliard in a game in Anaheim against the Rams. 88 or 89. He catches a screen pass from Hebert or maybe Steve Walsh snd breaks like 10 tackles on the way to the end zone. He had a great play like this against the Bills in the snow at Buffalo. I think Fourcade threw the pass.

Gotta have the Porter pick on Favre. Having watched that epic game more than the SB, it was pretty clear how damn talented the Vikings were across the board. I thought for sure favre was going to lead them to a fg as time expired.

Good one… It was magical knowing that our team had clinched its first winning season after 20 long years, even in a strike shortened season… of course we didnt know it would take another 13 or 14 yrs to win our first playoff game !

Yeah, every team history "first" should qualify as a contender. But Gilliam's return was a combo platter with the team's first ever play, first ever return, and first ever TD (and possibly held even more firsts that have expired or been surpassed).

I think number one should definitely be The Gleason Block. Besides encapsulating the birth of the Saints' Glory Years, the play was actually a rebirth moment for the team & city that transcended sports.
