I'm on the Mixon at 42 train- assuming they give a green light on the off field issues. I'd even go Curtis Samuel.

Right, there are too many values later in the draft. We would be dumb to draft McCaffery or Cook early.

Bruisers like Forman, Perine, James Connor

Kamara, Dayes, Samuel, Joe Williams if you want those change of pace, pass catching type

Mixon as a good all around option

Payton has been looking for a Sproles/Reggie Bush replacement

if he did this it would be the biggest "frick you, I just don't care" to brees, and I wouldn't blame brees if he were to just sit out the whole final year here rather then go 4-12 or at best 5-11 with a defense that routinely gives up 30+ points to every opposing team we play and a coach who refuses to even try to fix that

I saw one draft prediction that has all defensive players drafted before the Saints and no one was worth a damn at 11 on defense.

I'd rather them in that scenario take someone on offense than reach just to draft defense.

I'd take either cook or that lunch pail, heady RB in a heartbeat if the two or three defensive guys I want aren't there

If we get a d-lineman at 11 I wouldn't be mad with Cook at 32

Defensive player at 11

Trade up with 32 + whatever for Mcaffrey

That would be a steal. Cook is the best running back of this draft class.

Cook is the fourth best RB in this draft.....
Don't listen to the talking heads.....
LF7 is so obviously better than anyone else....he is a very special player....
What matters is the right player for your offense....
And should you pick a defensive player....
Even CSP wouldn't pick Cook at 11

Cook reminds me of Ingram, he can do it all but he can't do it all exceptionally well.
