Pretty sure tha ego has been humbled over the last 3 years. That, combined with the age, makes me think he knows it won't be a big payday.

league minimum ONLY, one year prove it deal then "maybe" bring him in

he was WAY over rated by fans and drew made him much better then he really was, or would have ever been with any other team. our entire offense was designed to get him the ball on no less then 50% of the game plan so of course he had big numbers.

in truth he couldnt run his route if someone got physical with him on the line, he just gave up and thats just a simple fact most want to turn a blind eye to, but that is one of reasons payton traded him outside of his bad attitude after the lawsuit BS and monetary demands.

yes he is 1000% better then fleener, and drew would get good production from him in "certain" situations, but he is another AP and will just disappoint and under perform wherever he goes now.

Another thing, our offense became extremely predictable with him.

I think he's a FA this upcoming offseason. If we can, I'd sign him in a heartbeat. I think he was a product of our system and can still play at an elite level.

I'll be honest, don't think I want anything to do with the guy. The way he left before really left a bad taste in my mouth. I saw on my timehop a few days ago where he tweeted at Akiem Hicks after we traded him something like "Glad you got out of that place bro... good luck ..." .. Like c'mon, man.

Did y'all forget he can't block, is soft, and makes our offense predictable?

So you're telling me if we got an offense out there with Brees, Thomas, Graham, Kamara, Snead, and Fleener a defense is gonna know where the ball's going?

No.
But we need a TE who is explosive speed wise off the line.

Fleener has speed, he just drops the ball a good bit

I remember reading an article that showed how truly terrible Graham is as a blocker with Seattle. I believe they showed how the other team would shift defenders away from him because he would get lost trying to find someone. Also, the Seahawks were running away from him basically every play, so he was a huge tell that Ds were taking advantage of.

That being said, I would take him back, but we would have to use him as a receiver. I used to think that he was a more capable blocker than he is, but I was wrong.

Also, there is no way the Seahawks can afford him with what they need to pay up for soon, so I think he will be gettable.

I thought the same thing, and I think he would absolutely be welcomed back into the Who Dat Nation. As long as we don't give up too much. He could help restore the offense to the glory days of, well, pretty much every year!

There was a play last night where Collinsworth was gushing over JG allowing Carson to have a big play. He talked about how he blocked the dfender to get the defender's eyes away from the play letting Carson run right past him. When they showd the clip, it was off the defender throwing JG to the ground as Carson ran right past him.

Jimmy can come back and chip then run his seam route and win a few games for us.

This being his 4th game he has under 100 yds receiving combined and only 12 catches with no touchdowns. If we could get him back for a late round pick would you want him? He looks miserable, I bet he wishes he was back with Drew

At this point, as big a fan I am of Graham, i'd say no. Fleener is younger (29 vs 31), has a cleaner injury history, and is an excellent blocker. Fleener has been much improved in the 1v1 seam ball so far this year, and has thrown several key blocks that has either propelled big plays (kamara td yesterday), or given brees extra time to either get rid of it or find someone. Our offense was too predictable with Graham. Now if hes willing to package with Fleener on some 2 TE sets and is okay with not being force fed the ball, then i'd take a look.

fleener is under contract through 2020. we would have both graham and fleener. there isnt much downside to re-signing graham. just depends what hes asking for.
