Looking at their combine results, Cooks beats or equals Watkins in every category. The only major thing Watkins has on him is height and weight.

Cooks

Watkins

He has a faster top speed, better leaping ability (which is a wash with Watkins height), faster acceleration, around the same strength level etc. Both have amazing hands and are excellent route runners.

Does Watkins return kicks/punts?

Disagree. I think that's what separates the two. And height obviously.

I'm just going off the bench press results. You're probably right.

Again, let me preface this by saying I think Cooks is going to be awesome for us, I really do.

1. You can't casually dismiss a 20 pound difference. Sammy is as thick a WR as you will find.

2. Cooks has a 2" better vert. Sammy is 3" taller and his arms are 2" longer. If you think vertically it's a wash you're crazy. Watch Sammy's tape, there are countless clips of him outleaping opponents and beating them to the ball in the air. Hell Clemson ran fade after fade to him when they got in the redzone. I love Cooks but he can't touch Sammy in the air.

3. If you think their strength is similar you're crazy. Sammy runs over linebackers. Watch the Orange Bowl and see him make Shazier (this board's Draft Dildo) look like a 160 pound corner. He puts him on skates like he's not even wearing cleats. He tosses NFL DBs from FSU around like they're scrubs when they try to press him.

4. Cooks has him in the return game. Watkins does it some, but he's never been elite at it.

Again, love love love Cooks, but Sammy will be a legit star from day one.

I said it 6 months ago and I will say it again, Cooks will be the best WR to come out of this draft. Two months from now it won't even be a question.

Two months from now it will be considered blasphemy that anyone would take a WR over Sammy in this draft.

Is it possible that your CFB preference is making you biased?

Nah, I actually followed Sammy since he was a freshmen in high school and was ready for college ball. I just lucked out he signed with Clemson.

Again, beyond ecstatic about Cooks but Sammy is incredible. Everyone will see.

I like Evans, but we already have Jimmy Graham.

I prefer the speed breaking abilities of Cooks and Watkins to match up with Graham and the other guys.

Cooks is incredible in his own right.. He didn't have the talent of Clemson around him and was always doubled teamed and still won the biletnikoff.

I know Sammy is incredible, but he did have another outstanding receiver, quarterback, and probably better rbs playing with him. Both guys are absolute studs. Would love either. I really really really like the character of Cooks along with his incredible talent.

Are you trolling? You haven't even seen either take a snap in a real game yet.

Nor has any GM and there's not a single one who'd take Cooks over Watkins.

I firmly believe that.

UDFA Coleman?

If so this is one of the dumbest things I've ever read.

Seriously and I hate hyperbole.

Ah, one of these days they're gonna make a sarcasm font for message boards. Carry on, well done. I chuckled once I realized it was in jest.
