Lol you think a 3-13 season would cause the Saints to just up and move. What a dumb statement.

Anyways, 8-8 won't get you a top 12 draft pick. More like 14-18. I don't want us to lose, but making the playoffs seems far fetched at this point and we definitely need to upgrade our talent level. It's getting better, but our talent is still below average IMO

At least I would feel like this team has a future and some kind of foundation on which to build. 3-13 would mean we're fricked.

This isn't the NBA. The talent level between top 5 and top 15 isn't that great. There are regularly great players found outside of the top 5.

Obviously, everything is a crap shoot. but I also know our drafting history and it's pretty shitty

We have a few problems and the #3 pick in each round would help fix them. Assuming we don't bomb the draft

People who keep harping on the fact that the talent drop off from 5 to 15 isn't that great or that a top pick doesn't mean they will be a stud are forgetting some things.

Having a top pick allows you to trade back.
The percentage of hitting on a good player is better the higher you draft regardless of the fact that a good player CAN be found later
We move up to the top pick in EACH ROUND

3-13 and a parade out of town for Payton. He has unquestionably lost interest in his job. Bring in a new GM to hire a new HC and start the process w or wo Drew (his choice ). It's over guys start the rebuild and hope the new hires are legit .....
