Y'all ever seen that Katt Williams stand up routine where he basically says that if you can't dance, just make it up with stuff you already know?
So he starts dancing with bowling and tennis moves.
Dabbing looks like that, except with sneezing.

Dabbing is also a term for a method of smoking Marijuana. It's the equivalent of people using tripping for LSD and rolling for extacy.

Basically it was popularized by Migos, a rap group, in their song "Look at My Dab." They use the meaning of dab as swag, so look at my dab means look at my swag. They incorporated the dance in their music video and it's been a huge hit.

It actually has three meanings. For example i dabbed last night and got high. Do you listen to Migos? If not than you do not know what they promote. They use sport stars and pop stars as code names. Hannah montana song Ain't about no Miley cyrus!
