I hate cam more than most, but you'd be dumb not to secure a franchise QB for the next decade in exchange for a QB declining rapidly and 1-2 years from retirement

You absolutely make that trade.
Newton is 10 years younger, is highly unlikely to get injured with how he takes care of his body, and I think teaming him up with Sean Payton could elevate his game even more.
I love Brees and appreciate what he's done, but if this hypothetical trade offer ever presented itself, I'd hope Loomis would take it immediately.

Okay I'll play. No, and here is why for me. Cam could not win 7 games with last years Saint team nor could he win 7 games with this one. He is not accurate enough to make his receivers better than they are. Brees is still a top 5 QB in this league. Cam is good but I don't put him top 5. Top 10 but he isn't going to a team that is marginal and making them good.

Well see that perspective is what? If your perspective is you want to win now then no you don't make that trade because like I said he isn't a better fit for this team. He isn't making this team a contender where as Brees can. Now if your perspective is the future and tearing the team down to get better in the next 3-5 years then yes make the trade.

Is this assuming that Payton stays coach if this year is a dumpster fire? Then yes, Newton has a lot of upside. I'm more curious see how Garropolo does for New England before I would pull any trigger.
