Seems foolish to sign new guys and then cut them so appears maybe some vets are in trouble. Ellerbe? Mauti?

as long as Ellerbe is somewhat healthy, no way he gets cut. He is our best LB.

Competition is good. So the more the merrier. As to who? Will wait for camp to start.

You get to carry 90 throughout the summer so way too early to talk about cuts.
But if we are doing way too soon projections you look at the guys that were at the bottom of the depth chart last year and the ones that signed for minimum this year.

Edabali and kikaha need to be recatagorized as end

Yeah the alignment doesn't matter too much. Whether we play 3-4 or 4-3 they are still in the "rush" spot.
Same when Smith and Galette were "moved" to OLB when Ryan got here. They were still rush ends.

Mauti is pretty valuable on special teams. hooe he stays on.

We cut or did not re-sign David Hawthorne, Ramon Humber, & James Anderson so our numbers didn't change.
MLB: James Laurinitis, Michael Mauti
SLB: Stephone Anthony, Nathan Stupar
WLB: Darnell Ellerbe, Craig Robertson
DE/Jack LB: Kikaha, Edabali, Tull
The numbers are fine but this does make the it very unlikely we draft a LB this year though.

It was sooooooo foolish to sign these guys when we had no depth. Now we have depth at each spot. Can't have that.

Anderson should be brought back he was solid and he was a pro bowl caliber player at one point. Keep that experience around Anthony .
What does stupar bring? I don't watch his team of course

So he can ball?
oh he'll ball. If the saints get in a pinch, he'll squeeze the most out of the opportunity.
