There was a little blurb in the paper here this morning (sorry no link and no time to look it up) that the Redskins might be interested. However, I don't see this working out unless he just wants to pad his back account before riding off into the sunset.

I know sharper has politicked for some Jets interest but has there been any report from that direction at all or beyond speculation?

He might get offered slightly more from some other team but not much if so. Few could be anywhere near as good of a fit as the Saints either. He kinda had to eat humble pie to sign with NOLA last year. If again, h might would rather eat it somewhere else is the only big negative I see. One other thing is that many vets aren't that gung ho on OTAs. he keeps himself in shape so he can avoid some of that too.

at this point in his career, I think his best option is to stick with the scheme that fits him i.e. GW's system. Plus he still needs to pass a physical to sign with someone else.

According to LaCanfora on the NFL-N over the weekend, if Sharper plays this year, it will be with the Saints. The Saints, along with the rest of the league, are waiting for his rehab to be finished before he can sign anywhere.

Some poster met GW in a bar or airport a few weeks back and said the same thing. Basically Sharper can't pass a physical right now so he can't really shop himself around and GW said he felt that made it more likely he'd re-sign with the Saints.

No too expensive. Get a younger guy. He's too old.

If I remember correctly, he waited a few weeks after his visit last year to sign. He check his "options" and then signed. I may be wrong. Wouldn't be a first.

I don't think the jets can get him especially not for more money than the saints...they were part of the final four and have already filled the amount they could spend from players they lost

john clayton reported today that the Redskins are very interested.

they'll likely outbid the Saints if it comes down to money

I hope that Malcolm Jenkins is as good of a free safety as I think he is.

Remember that it was just prior to camp before we signed him last year. I think he will be back but I hope that Jenkins gets alot of play to set us up for the future.

more power to them then. I love what sharper did for our D last season, but I don't see much sense in overpaying for him.

what do you think about jenkins at the FS spot?

I would rather Jenkins play. Sharpers attitude has sucked as of late.
