Johnny Manziel is a imbecile and it's a stupid idea to pay an imbecile anything to work for you.

How's that?

I'll try to be objective-

Brees has flourished in Payton's offense. That offense is very structured, and requires good accuracy and timing. Everything is dependent on fully understanding the play vs the defense, and knowing where to go (options A, B, and C) before the snap. Receivers don't run wild, they flash open.

Manziel has nothing to fit this. He doesn't even try to learn the playbook, he improvises at the snap. He lacks the ability to throw accurate darts into a tight window within 2 seconds of the snap, and he has never tried to learn to do so.

Manziel would die in New Orleans. If he doesn't drink himself into a coma, Payton would shoot him by week 4... of preseason.

Bringing in JFF would be a total Ditka move, wouldn't it?

Both have issues.

One is a total frick-up and undermines a team every step of the way with every action he takes, plays poorly on the field.

The other has a substance abuse issue, but played like a top 5 player when he steps on the field.

I rather the productive frick up.

Dude has a point... One thing we have to realize is that Drew Brees is not going to play for much longer. Our division is pretty much set with QB's for the next 5 years also. While it isn't wise to assume you need to draft a QB early in the 1st round to have a real chance at winning, all you have to do is look at the QBs playing this weekend.
I would much rather RGIII but Manziel wouldn't hurt to take a look. At this rate if and when Drew Brees retires we will have to stink it up to get a QB worth anything. Its not a bad gamble to get ahead of the curve if you can.

No, no, no. And I'm basing that sentiment purely on the fact that I can't stand that frick. I hate him with a passion and I can't stomach the thought of being forced to root for him. No.
