I'm with you, most of our fans are idiots bruh. I'm tired of this stupid team I'm so ready for it to be over get these idot leaders out of here PayLoo y'all call them.

Reason we need the high pick is we draft terrible, no doubt they are looking for the worst "good guy" to draft and waste that 1st round pick on. No he won't be a game changer, will likely get meaningless stats against bad teams or not step up in big games but that doesn't matter because hey at least we got a good guy!

A top 8 pick gives them a better chance to not frick it up or even move back to get more good young players to help this team. That 8th pick could turn into the 15th-20th and another 1st round pick.

But of course my dumbass team is too fricking stupid to take advantage of that!!!!

Why would you EVER want to slide back in the draft?

who gives a frick?

we need a lot of help.

having a higher pick in the 1st round won't fix everything.

Lot of secondary market tickets sold for this game so a lot of the crowd today was people who only go to one saints game. They were happy to be there and see their team win

last time the Saints played the Jags at the Dome it was a very similar result.

a lot points scored.

but a lopsided Saints win in which the Saints weren't in much danger of losing.

but it was more towards the middle of the season so nobody was worried about a random draft selection.

bitching about a draft pick late in the year is so fricking stupid.

might as well want us to only win 2 games all year to lock up an elite pick.

oh, we need to lose so we can pick higher in the other rounds too... that's a good one.

like that will help.

There it is. The dumbest thing written on the internet today. No need to even try to top it the next 23 hours.

Because that is what the op was saying.

Jockeying for position in the draft with a couple of more losses is a fool's gamble and, really, it rarely intentional tanking has a fairly poor track record. It may make someone think they're a "smart" fan . . . but nope.

It doesn't matter what draft pick we have in the first 1-3 rounds. As long as Loomis is making calls there's a 75%+ chance that they'll be a bust and only be rostered for the first 2-3 seasons anyway. A win is a win. If you didn't want us to win then wtf is the point in watching? If we end up with a top 10 draft pick, great. But I would never root against our team for that scenario to happen. That's just stupid, but then again so is the majority of our fan base.

It's never a good thing to root against your team and I was in the stadium excited about winning as usual. The only caveat is that if you do happen to lose you can look at it as 'well, it actually helped our draft position' after the fact. So every game is basically a win-win situation.
