Who would you like to see hired as our new ST coach?

of those out there right now who would you like to see hired and then the next question would be if not him, who do you think they "might" hire?

He's probably already on staff. Kevin O'Dea.

They brought him in midseason as a consultant.

hopefully one that can turn a 1 million dollar punter into the 5th best in the league.

ANYONE other than McMahon is an immediate upgrade.

Morestead only forced 7 fair catches all year? How's that possible? Now the Saints don't punt a lot, but they don't force a ton of punts either. That's why there games are really fun to watch, I suppose.

Talk about stepping into a job with the bar obscenely low

Pretty sure we didn't miss a kick from the time he was brought in.

The special teams improved by leaps and bounds once that guy was brought in.

Whether the bar is low or high, depends on whether you're vaulting or doing the limbo.

Saints have been in limbo long enough. Time for some accountability and progress.

I'm not sure how good Kevin O'Dea is on coaching return & coverage teams, but he's known as a kicking specialist. It wasn't a fluke that Lutz made every FG after O'Dea was hired. I don't mind if we hire another guy to do returns & coverage, but O'Dea should be kept for the kicking game alone.

Could have O'Dea as the "Kicking Game Coordinator" and another guy as the "Return and Coverage Coordinator".

Go against convention a bit.

I saw someone elsewhere mention Mike Mallory. He was the ST Coach of the Jags that had the 3rd rated unit in 2015. He has worked for the Saints before on Payton's staff and worked directly under Dennis Allen.
