I think Wells because the Saints need a bruiser to get the tough yards. He would be a good compliment to Bush. Moreno scares me, personally I think he will be a bust.

The better fit for our style without debate is Moreno. The bigger need is Wells. However, with our O, Wells is a wasted pick. I know you guys watch the games, do you think Payton is going to stop throwing the ball b/c he gets Wells? No. And with Brees, he shouldn't. The Saints don't play the style of football of say the Titans where you need that physical back. We can win with our offensive style. What we do need to improve on however is getting the short yardage when the other D knows we're running. That's not a RB problem, that's an OL problem. That's where that shite starts. RB first round is a wasted pick.

Wells wouldn't be used a whole lot and Moreno IMO always seemed like a combo of Pierre and Reggie, so neither. Draft a defensive player

Wells

We need a power back that can get us the 3rd and 1 (or 2) first down. The boy can run, north and south.

Wells really ain't a powerback - more of a 'slasher' - and gets nicked up way too often. Moreno is the obvious answer - can do all the things Reggie and PT do, plus he is excellent at running the middle & passblocking. Anyone who's watched the clips I linked has seen how well KM runs up the middle.

Wells is too injury prone. Moreno would be the better choice.

interesting poll from canal st. chronicles-

Should the Saints...

19% Draft Chris Wells?
44 votes

10% Draft Knowshon Moreno?
24 votes

69% Draft a defensive player, for the love of all that's holy!

'Votes' on who to draft really aren't worth a whole lot because you have to take into consideration who's voting & their knowledge ( or rather lack thereof ) of the criteria; look at our current president to prove my point! Those numbers more accurately show the shortsightedness of the common fan rather than the better pick.

Why would we draft Moreno? We already have Bush and PT who are Moreno type backs. Why don't we make a move to sign D. Ward as well that way we have no diversity in our back field.

Wells is a D. McCallister type runner who Payton would use like Deuce in 2006. We remember 2006 don't we? As for the injury thing, Wells has only missed four college games due to injury, but still rushed for > 3000 yards in 3 seasons and has clearly outshined Moreno in the combine, pro day and in games.

That being said, I still like R. Jennings better than both of them. He's this years M. Forte IMHO. (who I said we should have drafted last year.)
