For me Duece, but actually Brees could end up with this if he plays 3 or 4 more years at his current level.

All time greatest is Ricky Jackson IMO.

I don't know, W. Roaf and M. Anderson are up there. I think Swilling might have better numbers than Jackson too.

Suntiger....In saying that Swilling had better numbers than Jackson are you insinuating that Swilling had a better NFL career than Jackson?....Jackson played had a high level much longer than Swilling and had more career sacks and was better against the run than Swilling...when Jackson left the Saints, he continued to play at a high level as an aging linebacker on his way to winning a Super Bowl with the niners.....when Swilling got traded, his career never was the same and he was younger than Jackson when he got traded......Rickey Jackson has big-time Hall-of-Fame numbers and will eventually get in and Swilling doesn't quite have the numbers to make it ever..........
....Any Saints fan that was alive and paying attention to the Saints in the 80s and early 90s would know that Rickey Jackson is more beloved than Pat Swilling even though Pat was awesome and very much appreciated....Rickey was awesome for a long time..way longer than Swilling..........Any fan that thinks Swilling had a better NFL career than Jackson is either smoking something or simply was too young to remember how incredible Jackson was....

most beloved: Archie Manning, Rickey Jackson, Morten Anderson, Willie Roaf, Deuce McCallister

...In no particular order.....it's that simple...

Not really. Swilling was the pass rushing LBer like L. Taylor, D. Ware, etc. so he would have better numbers. The post I was replying to just said "greatest" instead of "beloved".

I know Swillings numbers plummeted when he went to Detroit, but I think he had better stats as a Saint.
Also, I think Ricky got moved to DE when he went to the niners.

Anybody know the story behind Mario Bates' face? Did he faceplant off a motorcycle or something?

Suntiger....if we took a vote from every Saints fan, that remembers the 80s, on who was the better Saint out of Rickey Jackson and Pat Swilling, you think Swilling would get more votes?....i don't think so...Rickey goes down at least as a top-3 all time Saint...if not the best...and you think Swilling was greater?...let me repeat: Rickey Jackson will eventually make the Pro Football Hall of Fame one day and should already be there if it wasn't for his off-field troubles and him playing for the Saints....Swilling will never even be mentioned as a possible member of the Hall-of-Fame....
....Jackson has more career tackles and sacks than Hall of Famer Andre Tippett and Rickey's also got something Andre and Pat don't have, a championship ring.......
.....Rickey = incredible, long career(10+years)
.....Swilling=incredible for a few years(4-5years)

....Rickey playing at a high level twice as long as Swilling did has to count for something...
....for somebody to say Swilling was greater than Rickey Jackson...there's something wrong with that...not too many die-hard Saints fans with at least half a brain would dare to say Swilling was better than Jackson....if you measure one career against the other's it isn't even close...big difference...one(Jackson) should and will be in the Hall, and the other(Swilling) everyone knows has absolutely no shot at making it into the Hall....but Swilling was better than Jackson...I THINK FREAKIN NOT!!!

oh...Swilling was the rush linebacker and what was Jackson..then....Suntiger?.....yeah i don't recall Jackson getting to the quarterback much at all..

Swilling and Jackson were both rush linebackers and run linebackers since they played every down except 4th downs....

....so when the opponents ran the ball, Swilling would just take a little break while still being in the game since he was just a "rush" linebacker..

Ricky had better numbers than a few guys in the HOF, most notably a guy who played at the same time as he did: Andre Tippet.

Swilling? Not so much. I guess he gets props for being a politician after he finished playing...

Suntiger...Rickey Jackson is in at least the top 7 in all-time sacks but he wasn't a rush linebacker like Pat Swiiling was....

...i think they were both rush linebackers!!...on opponents passing downs, it was a race between Jackson and Swilling to see who could get to the quarterback first...a lot of times they met at the QB at the same time......and it helped to have two bad-arse linemen in Frank Warren and Jim Wilks to keep the bodies off of Rickey and Pat and free them up...

10.Jerry Fontenot (1997-2003) started all 16 games for the Saints in 97,99,00,01,02,03...thats impressive!!
