Actually, Segal has been with the JP Police for 20 years, FWIW. If I am getting arrested anytime soon, it would have to be by him, that shite would be hilarious.

Take your poser arse back to your losing Tigers and stop acting like it's respectable to become a "fan" of whichever team is winning for you.
I've been a Saints fan for 30 years even when they were losing douchebag, and probably before you were born. my only point was who cares if they are fans of the team, as long as they are fans. Better to have fans, than not. This simple fact may be too abstract for you to understand.

I think the internet has killed off some of the Saints coverage that used to be in the Advocate, but growing up Saints coverage was always right there next to LSU coverage. You sound like you're talking about Shreveport, not Baton Rouge.

Nice try Baton Rouge is pathetic. I went to the Saints games @ Tiger Stadium, 3/4 of the stadium was empty because they only sold 20k tickets, and I was even taunted during the Dolphins game by some native Baton Rougers who were there pulling for the Dolphins and sucking off Nick Saban.

I also went to Shreveport to watch the Saints preseason game, there were 55-60k in attendance and 75% of the fans were Saints fans, and they were playing the Cowboys.

I work and live down here in South La. I used to believe all the BS we say down here about North La, but fact of the matter is Shreveport > Baton Rouge when it comes to Saints fans.

With most of our 42 years being losers, our fans are some of the most loyal in all sports. Most were around even in losing.

absolutely....i went to the last preseason saints/cowbowees game here in Sport and there were plenty of saints fans drowning out the girls fans. i had a heated "discussion" with some out of town cowbowee fans about how they cant go all the way now because of salary caps and JJones bought his championships. true or not i enjoyed the debate.

Spoken like someone who wants The Saints to move.

The more fans the Saints have, the more revenue for the team. The more revenue, the less likely Benson moves them. I personally think that those who protest to new fans are the ones who can age their fanhood in single digits.

Real fans look around and see all the sell out games and say, "welcome aboard".

I'm a new fan I guess.

Most of my family are Saints fans, which got me interested in the Saints. I've slowly become a Saints fan since the '06 season. I followed the Saints the best I could from Texas. At the same time living in Houston I felt like I should cheer on the Texans. I felt like I couldn't call myself a Saints fan because I've never been to a Saints game (I'm still in high school and only have time to go to LSU games) or lived in NO. So I rooted for the Saints but called myself a Texans fan.

I've changed my mind now, I've decided to be a Saints fan regardless of all that. Call me a bandwagoner or not, I don't care. I'll be a fan of the Saints for life no matter what happens, but I'll still hope for the best for the Texans even though I won't really be a fan of them. Hopefully I'll be able to go to some Saints games in the future.

<----<this> many fans try to gauge others "fandom" way too much around here. seems you only qualify if you live in certain areas, have been a fan since 1967, and go to every game in the dome.

Some on here think you should not be allowed to pull for the Saints.

Please go spend your money on some other team's merchandise.

were you excited when we were 4-8 in 2004 and won the last four? what about last year? did you watch us against the lions and panthers (that was a great game) after we were eliminated?

buy your tix on stubhub and drive the price up to the stratosphere when you wouldn't if we were even 7-4. you know who you are.

I'm usually on other message boards mostly because I hate the whole language restriction on here. I feel like a 12-year-old having to watch my language. Had an account on here a few years back but don't remember my username and such. So I made a new one. I usually just lurk to avoid a-holes like you.

What I can't stand is when other teams' fans automatically assume you're a bandwagoner just because you finally have a reason to be vocal about your favorite team. I mean, I've been a Saints fan since 2003 (jumped into the football scene with the Tigers' title run), but I'm not going to walk up and start some trash-talking round when my preferred team is 7-9. That's just stupid. Now I've got a reason to do so and suddenly I'm a bandwagoner?

I know what you mean. Wore my Saints jersey to class the other day and was accused of being a bandwagoner. Just think it's an ego thing since we're all dudes. But I just wanna watch the game and I don't really care how long anyones been a fan as long as they're not bashing the Saints or rooting for the other team. Everyone just needs to calm down and enjoy the attention OUR team is getting (and deserves). No need to get wrapped up in all this other nonsense. Leave that for the chics.
