Is he gone to Calif, or a bigger media market, no matter what the Saints prospects are?

Signed a 6 year deal in 2006.

I remember reading about a week or two ago that his contract has been restructured to ease his numbers this year but make him a high cap number next. This pretty much means that if he still disappoints this year, he will most likely be traded next.

Blues, where are you? You're always Johnny on the Spot with this intel.

He will probably be traded before his contract is up.

Why would someone take on his high cap number if we dont want it?
NFL players almost NEVER get traded simply because they have too much money left on their deal.
He'll most likely re-sign with a year or two left on his deal

Exactly... we would probably be negotiating with Kim... not reggie nor his agent.

That's the least likely place I could see R. Bush.

Try Dallas, Washington, New York, Miami, etc.

I think he'd fit in well with their offense. Look how good welker turned out.

It's not how he fits into the offense. It's where is the biggest media market. He fit's S. Payton's offense great, but it's a small market. If he went to N.Y. or Dallas, he'd make as much in endorsements as he did in salary.

Another team wouldn't take on that cap number. It happens quite often, actually, in which a player with a year or two left under contract renegotiates a new contract with the trading team before that team agrees to the trade. With Reggie's high cap number next year, it will mean that either the Saints give him brand new ink, or they seek a trade for him, thus allowing potential trade partners to speak with Reggie's agent on new contract terms.

If Saints draft a halfback in the first round and becomes the starter, Reggie will be gone 2-3 years down the road.

That's a possible scenario if interested teams think there is some chance of the other team keeping that player. His salary goes to $8mil in 2010 if I remember. Higher in 2011. No way they keep him for that unless he has the full fledged year that we have expected. If so, they renegotiate him further into the future. If not, someone could give something like a 6th or 7th just for the convenience. They could just as well wait for the Saints to cut him though. Kinda like Torry Holt, everyone knew they weren't keeping him. The Titans offered a little. They couldn't get it done and STL needed to get some cap room so bye bye.
