How many meetings has he missed?

We only know about the one in London.
He is definitely deep in the doghouse.

If your gonna piss the coach off you better do it after a good game. Fortunately for him he played good against Panthers. Hopefully he straightens out and gets back on the field at least as a nickelback.

We can't afford to have these issues with our most talented players.

I think he’s out of the doghouse but feel like we are at our best when all 3 safeties are on the field together.

Crawley and Lattimore are killing it. That's the story.
I wonder what will happen when Breaux comes back, honestly.

Crawley needs to learn to trust his feet and eyes. The dude can’t cover without grabbing before the ball is near himself or the wr.

Agreed. As great as he's been playing he's probably good for at least one long PI a game. Luckily he's been in such good position that it hasn't hurt much but he really needs to focus on improving that part of his game and he will be a monster.

Your right. That's why we are lucky it is happening to PJ.

Well I will say this....Maybe we are better on 1st and 2nd downs, but on 3 and 7 or longer I wish we would go with a nickel or dime package with 3 or 4 DBs on the field.

My understanding is he's not played as well as they'd hoped he would moved in to cover the slot receiver; they don't feel either Lattimore or Crawley are viable slot corners at this point; and both Lattimore and Crawley have earned the outside corner spots over Williams so far.

You mean CBs? Because safeties are DBs too, and we usually have 5 DBs on the field on most downs.

As much as people want to shite on Vaccaro, he's our best slot corner right now and he is actually covering very well from that spot.
It's when we try to move him deep and play him in zone he gets abused, and a good coach shouldn't put players in a bad spot.
But it seems Allen has finally learned his lesson (I hope) and went back to 3 safeties with Bell as the more "traditional" SS and Williams as the FS, with Vaccaro playing the slot/box safety role that he is made for.
Edit:
Here's Bell's snap pct. each game to show where Allen is actually learning and adapting to the team instead of trying to adapt the team to his scheme:
9%
43%
61%
87%
94%
Vaccaro has played every snap outside of the Pats game, where he played only 65%. That seems to be the break point where Allen actually started trying to make the D fit the players. The D from the first 2 games is completely different from the one we see now.
And just for reference Marcus Williams has only missed 4 snaps all year, with 2 being the most in any one game.
Meanwhile PJ went from playing almost every snap (one missed in each of the first 3 games; first 2 minus Crawley; third minus Lattimore), to playing only 3 snaps in 2 games with Lattimore and Crawley on the outside and Vaccaro in the slot.
It may be more about putting the best 11 on the field than being in the doghouse (even if that's how it started). The 3 safeties with Lattimore and Crawley gives us our best 11. No need to frick with that.

Yea, I really like the 3 safety set. It gives us our best production, & makes it easier to deal with our LB problem going forward. We really only have 3 legit LB's now & needing just 2 on the field is very helpful. Gerald Hodges might make 4 legit LB's after he learns our defense, & Mauti is basically just a special teams guy (we're in bad shape if Mauti ever has to get PT as a LB). I know some people are rooting for Bighill, but he's basically in the same classification as Mauti...he actually got cut to make room for Mauti.
With the 3 safety set as our base(4-2-5)...we still have at least 1 depth guy for every position. We can also run any kind of defense (besides a 3-4-4) with legit players in the game (7 D-Lineman, 3 LB's, 3 CB's...5 CB's when healthy, & 4 Safeties).
DT - Onyemata & Hendrickson for depth
DE - Kikaha & Hendrickson for depth
LB - Te'o for depth, but he & Klein are kind of similar. Te'o is great as depth
CB - PJ Williams, Breaux(week 9 return), & Sterling Moore(whenever he's ready) as depth.
S - Bell has to be considered a starter at this point. Bush for depth.
Currently, we don't have any holes on defense. That's without Fairley, Loewen, Anzalone, Stupar, Breaux, & Sterling Moore all not playing right now. The fact that our FO loaded us up with depth is the only reason we're not screwed due to multiple defensive injuries.
As far as Vaccaro goes...I like him in the slot, but I just don't like him covering the other teams #1 WR. He usually shuts down TE's & bigger WR's. It's the smaller/quicker guys that give him more trouble, but those guys also can't block Vaccaro when the play is a run. He usually sheds small guys with ease against the run.
