Drew was drastically underpaid for about 3 years and kept his mouth shut. And those QBs taking "paycuts" (like Brady) were just converting base salary to a signing bonus and spreading the cap hit from one year over multiple seasons. Seriously, that was probably the dumbest post I've ever seen on this forum, and there are quite a few retards on here as of late.
Drew was not 'drastically underpaid' you dip shite. The Saints took a huge risk when he was given a 6 year 60 million dollar contract when only one other team would even give him a sniff. Sure he ended up earning every cent and for all the retards, ie, you, who think he was underpaid, he has sure as shite made up for it with his billion dollar contract.

And Drew will NEVER give up one fricking penny to restructure his deal.

wow. I fricking hate this place when ignorant posters flood this board on a gameday loss. Brees is a top 3 quarterback in the league I just can't even begin to understand how people are blaming this loss on him.
This thread is about Drew restructuring his contract, not about him losing this game...retard

If you honestly think Drew Brees was not underpaid before this yr you should just never call yourself a sports fan. The man was only getting paid 10 million a yr, and broke records and won us a SuperBowl.

It's unbelievable how small some people's minds are. Brees was way underpaid, even if the figures make you jealous.

This. Don't get me wrong, I love Brady, but if you think these guys aren't getting (cost protected) market-value, you're an idiot.

Wow, if it werent for Brees the Saints would be 0-7 right now. No matter how much the QB is being paid, the defensive players you are paying millions should not be playing this poorly.

Lol.. He only made 60 million dollars playing a game He was so underpaid... You guys are pathetic ... Do something with your day and shake the hand of a veteran , if you wanna meet someone who is underpaid.

The recievers have lost something this year as well. They seem slower on their routes and alot more drops than ususal. Tulane just had to poach our coach. Curtis must've been something fierce.

10 mil to toss around a football and you are saying my mind is small? Saints gave him his last shot. Remember Miami wouldn't touch him... I think 10 mil a year was pretty good for a last shot.

He makes New Orleans far more money than he takes from them. If you believe in the country you fight for, that means you buy in to the economic system we have. It's not like these are dumb businessmen trying to run these teams, you have industrial giants. Bob Kraft/Benson don't make stupid financial decisions very often. Bitching and moaning about how much someone makes is starting to turn into the American way. Make yourself more valuable, and you'll be paid like it.
